Role Summary: We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Textile Design & Development Specialist with a focus on costume design to join our innovative team. This role will be instrumental in conceptualizing, designing, and developing unique textile patterns, textures, and finishes for bespoke costume applications within the fashion and entertainment sectors. You will collaborate closely with design and production teams to bring creative visions to life through exceptional textile solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize and design innovative textile patterns, prints, and embellishments suitable for costume creation.
- Develop and source a diverse range of fabrics, considering drape, texture, color, and durability for specific costume requirements.
- Create detailed technical specifications and mood boards for fabric selection and textile application.
- Collaborate with costume designers, stylists, and production teams to understand project needs and translate them into textile solutions.
- Oversee the sampling and prototyping process, ensuring quality and adherence to design specifications.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends in textile design, costume history, and emerging technologies within the industry.
- Manage relationships with fabric suppliers and manufacturers to ensure timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
