Third Officer / Mate

Role Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Third Officer / Mate to join our maritime operations team. The Third Officer / Mate will be responsible for assisting the Chief Officer and Second Officer in the safe navigation, operation, and maintenance of our vessels, ensuring compliance with all maritime regulations and company policies. This role is crucial for maintaining operational efficiency and safety standards within our transport and logistics division.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the navigation and watchkeeping duties as directed by the Master or Chief Officer.
• Supervise and direct deck crew in cargo operations, maintenance, and general shipboard duties.
• Ensure the proper maintenance and upkeep of deck equipment, safety appliances, and vessel structures.
• Participate in emergency drills and respond effectively to any onboard emergencies.
• Maintain accurate ship's logs, cargo records, and other required documentation.
• Ensure compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL, and other international and national maritime regulations.
• Conduct safety inspections and report any deficiencies or potential hazards.
• Support the Chief Officer in cargo planning and stowage.
