Thoracic Surgeon

Role Summary:
UltraTech Cement is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Thoracic Surgeon to lead our Occupational Health and Safety division, focusing on the respiratory health of our workforce in manufacturing facilities across India. This critical role will involve developing and implementing comprehensive health programs, ensuring compliance with all relevant health regulations, and providing expert medical guidance to mitigate occupational health risks associated with the building materials industry.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and oversee comprehensive occupational health programs specifically targeting respiratory health for employees exposed to dust and other airborne particles in cement manufacturing environments.
* Conduct regular health assessments and screenings for employees, with a focus on early detection and management of respiratory conditions such as silicosis and COPD.
* Provide expert medical consultation and treatment for thoracic and respiratory ailments.
* Collaborate with safety officers and industrial hygienists to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
* Ensure compliance with Indian occupational health and safety regulations and standards.
* Develop and deliver training programs for employees and management on respiratory health and safety.
* Manage the occupational health clinic and its staff, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
* Stay updated with the latest advancements in thoracic surgery and occupational medicine.
* Maintain accurate and confidential medical records.
* Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care.
