Job Description
Role Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tool & Die Maker to join our innovative medical device development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, fabricating, maintaining, and repairing complex tooling, dies, and fixtures essential for the precise manufacturing of medical instruments and components. This role is critical in ensuring the quality, accuracy, and efficiency of our production processes for cutting-edge healthcare solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, fabricate, and assemble precision tooling, dies, molds, and fixtures according to engineering specifications and blueprints.
- Operate a variety of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, CNC machines, and EDM equipment.
- Perform intricate layout, machining, and assembly operations to close tolerances.
- Inspect and test finished tools, dies, and parts for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
- Troubleshoot and repair worn or broken tooling, dies, and fixtures to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to optimize tool design for manufacturability and performance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety regulations and best practices.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all tooling and machinery.
