Role Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tool Room Engineer to join our innovative team at Netflix. This role is crucial for maintaining and developing the specialized tools and equipment that support our cutting-edge media production and delivery infrastructure. You will be instrumental in ensuring the operational efficiency and reliability of our technical assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, fabricate, and maintain precision tools, jigs, fixtures, and prototypes for various engineering and production needs.
- Operate and maintain a variety of machine shop equipment, including CNC machines, lathes, mills, and grinders.
- Interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical specifications to produce parts with tight tolerances.
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and repair of tool room machinery and equipment.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to understand tool requirements and provide solutions.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure all fabricated tools meet specified standards.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and propose effective repair strategies.
- Manage inventory of tool room supplies and materials, ensuring availability for ongoing projects.
- Stay updated with advancements in tool-making technologies and manufacturing processes.
