Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tool Room Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Tool Room Engineer will be responsible for the design, fabrication, maintenance, and repair of precision tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and other specialized equipment used in our manufacturing and research processes. This role requires a strong understanding of machining techniques, materials science, and quality control to ensure the optimal performance and longevity of all tooling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop new tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures based on engineering specifications and requirements.
- Fabricate and machine components using various machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC machines.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspection, and repair of existing tooling to ensure operational efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to understand project requirements.
- Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and production teams to troubleshoot tooling issues and implement solutions.
- Ensure all fabricated parts meet stringent quality standards and specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of tool designs, modifications, maintenance, and inventory.
- Operate and maintain precision measuring instruments.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures within the tool room.
