Tool Room Engineer

Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tool Room Engineer to join our dynamic team at Decathlon India. The Tool Room Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and repair of molds, dies, jigs, fixtures, and other tooling required for the manufacturing of sports equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of precision engineering, material science, and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and fabricate new tooling (molds, dies, jigs, fixtures) based on product specifications and engineering drawings.
- Maintain and repair existing tooling to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Perform precision machining operations using manual and CNC machines (e.g., milling, turning, grinding, EDM).
- Collaborate with product development and manufacturing teams to identify tooling requirements and provide technical solutions.
- Conduct quality checks on manufactured tools to ensure adherence to specifications and tolerances.
- Troubleshoot tooling issues and implement corrective actions.
- Manage tool room inventory and procurement of necessary materials and spare parts.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in tooling technology and manufacturing techniques.
- Ensure a safe and organized working environment within the tool room.
