Tool Room Manager

Role Summary: The Tool Room Manager will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the tool room, ensuring the efficient maintenance, repair, and fabrication of tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures required for port equipment and machinery. This role is critical for minimizing downtime and ensuring the optimal performance of our operational assets within the Indian ports and terminals.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the day-to-day operations of the tool room, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization.

Supervise and train toolmakers, machinists, and technicians, ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality procedures.

Oversee the maintenance, repair, and calibration of all tool room machinery and equipment.

Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for tools and equipment to minimize breakdowns.

Manage inventory of raw materials, spare parts, and consumables for the tool room.

Collaborate with engineering and maintenance departments to design, fabricate, and modify tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures as per requirements.

Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and environmental policies.

Maintain accurate records of tool usage, maintenance, repairs, and fabrication activities.

Implement quality control measures to ensure the precision and durability of fabricated tools.
