Tool Room Manager

Role Summary: The Tool Room Manager will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the tool room, ensuring the maintenance, repair, and fabrication of all production tooling and equipment essential for our food processing lines. This role is critical in maintaining operational efficiency and product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the day-to-day operations of the tool room, including scheduling, resource allocation, and personnel management.

Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all tooling and machinery to minimize downtime.

Oversee the repair and refurbishment of worn or damaged tooling, ensuring adherence to quality standards.

Lead the fabrication of new tooling or modifications to existing tooling as per production requirements and design specifications.

Maintain an inventory of spare parts and consumables, ensuring timely procurement and cost-effective management.

Ensure a safe working environment within the tool room, adhering to all relevant safety regulations and company policies.

Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to identify areas for tooling improvement and innovation.

Manage budgets for the tool room, including operational expenses and capital expenditure.

Train and mentor tool room staff, fostering a culture of skill development and continuous improvement.
