Town / Urban Planner

Role Summary: The Town / Urban Planner will be responsible for contributing to the strategic planning and development of urban infrastructure and land use within the context of Tata Motors' industrial and corporate expansion projects in India. This role requires a deep understanding of urban planning principles, zoning regulations, environmental impact assessments, and stakeholder engagement, particularly as they relate to large-scale industrial developments and their integration into existing urban fabrics.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site analysis and feasibility studies for new plant locations, R&D centers, and corporate offices, considering factors like accessibility, infrastructure, environmental impact, and community integration.
- Develop master plans and land-use strategies that align with Tata Motors' business objectives and sustainability goals.
- Prepare and present urban planning proposals, including zoning applications, environmental impact assessments, and development permits, to relevant government authorities and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, legal, environmental) and external consultants to ensure compliance with all local, state, and national planning regulations.
- Engage with local communities, government officials, and other stakeholders to build consensus and address concerns related to development projects.
- Monitor and evaluate the implementation of urban development plans, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Research and stay updated on emerging trends in urban planning, sustainable development, and smart city initiatives relevant to the automotive industry.
