Job Description
Role Summary: The Town / Urban Planner will be responsible for contributing to the planning, design, and development of sustainable and integrated urban and industrial areas within the framework of national and regional development projects. The role involves detailed spatial planning, infrastructure coordination, and stakeholder engagement to ensure efficient and livable urban environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive urban and regional plans, master plans, and zoning regulations.
- Conduct spatial analysis, demographic studies, and land-use forecasting.
- Coordinate with engineering, environmental, and economic development teams for integrated project planning.
- Prepare planning reports, presentations, and design proposals for various stakeholders.
- Engage with government agencies, community groups, and private developers to gather input and facilitate consensus.
- Ensure compliance with relevant planning laws, policies, and environmental regulations.
- Assist in the development of infrastructure plans, including transportation, utilities, and public spaces.

The National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation Limited (NICDC) is a company incorporated under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013, with the objective of developing industrial corridors across India. It acts as the nodal agency for the development of the influence regions of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) and other upcoming industrial corridors. NICDC aims to accelerate the development of industries and create integrated, sustainable, and futuristic urban centers. It works in close coordination with central government ministries, state governments, and private sector partners to facilitate land acquisition, infrastructure development, and investment promotion.
