Transport Manager

Role Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Transport Manager to oversee and optimize all transportation and logistics operations for our India-based distribution network. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient, cost-effective, and timely movement of goods and materials, supporting our extensive publishing and content distribution channels.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategic transportation plans to meet business objectives and reduce costs.

Manage all aspects of the company's fleet, including vehicle maintenance, scheduling, and driver management.

Negotiate and manage contracts with third-party logistics providers, carriers, and suppliers.

Monitor and analyze transportation costs, performance metrics, and delivery times to identify areas for improvement.

Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations, safety standards, and legal requirements in India.

Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and other software to track shipments, manage inventory, and optimize routes.

Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., operations, sales, procurement) to ensure seamless supply chain integration.

Handle and resolve any transportation-related issues, delays, or disruptions effectively.

Implement best practices in logistics and supply chain management to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
