Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional with a Doctorate/PhD to join our team as a Travel Desk Coordinator. This role is ideal for individuals with 0-1 years of experience looking to leverage their analytical and problem-solving skills in a corporate travel management environment within the Metals & Mining sector. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless travel arrangements for our employees, optimizing travel costs, and maintaining high levels of service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of employee travel arrangements, including flights, accommodation, ground transportation, and visa processing.
- Liaise with travel agencies and vendors to negotiate rates and ensure service level agreements are met.
- Develop and implement travel policies and procedures to ensure compliance and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor travel expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Provide support and assistance to employees regarding their travel queries and issues.
- Maintain accurate travel records and generate reports on travel patterns and expenditures.
- Utilize corporate travel management systems for booking and reporting.
- Collaborate with various departments to understand their travel needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Research and stay updated on travel trends, regulations, and best practices.
