Tug Master

Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and certified Tug Master to oversee and manage the safe and efficient operation of tugboats within our port facilities. The Tug Master will be responsible for the navigation, maneuvering, and overall command of tug vessels, ensuring the smooth docking and undocking of larger ships, and providing essential support services within the port environment. This role requires strong leadership, maritime expertise, and a commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities:

* Command and navigate tugboats safely and efficiently in various port conditions, including confined spaces and adverse weather.
* Perform ship-assist operations, including docking, undocking, and escorting large vessels.
* Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of tugboat machinery and equipment.
* Supervise and direct tugboat crew, assigning tasks and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
* Conduct pre-departure and post-arrival checks of the tugboat and its equipment.
* Maintain accurate logs of vessel movements, operational activities, and any incidents.
* Communicate effectively with ship captains, port control, and other relevant stakeholders.
* Respond to emergencies and provide assistance as required.
* Adhere to all relevant maritime regulations, company policies, and port authority guidelines.
* Participate in safety drills and training programs.
