Tug Master

Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and certified Tug Master to oversee and manage the safe and efficient operation of our tugboats within our chemical port facilities. The Tug Master will be responsible for the navigation, docking, undocking, and towing of vessels, ensuring the smooth logistical flow of raw materials and finished products. This role requires strong leadership, excellent seamanship, and a deep understanding of port operations and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Safely navigate and maneuver tugboats in confined port areas, including docking and undocking of chemical tankers and other vessels.
- Execute towing operations for barges, vessels, and other marine structures as required.
- Maintain constant communication with vessel captains, port control, and other relevant personnel.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, port regulations, and international maritime laws.
- Conduct pre-operation checks of the tugboat, including engines, navigation equipment, and safety gear.
- Manage and supervise the tugboat crew, assigning duties and ensuring efficient performance.
- Respond to emergencies and participate in spill response operations as needed.
- Maintain accurate logs of all operations, including vessel movements, weather conditions, and fuel consumption.
- Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the tugboat.
- Provide guidance and support to junior crew members.
