Tug Master

Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Tug Master to oversee and manage the safe and efficient operation of tugboats within our industrial automation facilities. The Tug Master will be responsible for navigation, vessel handling, crew supervision, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and operational procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
- Safely navigate and maneuver tugboats in confined and complex industrial environments, including ports, canals, and alongside large vessels.
- Command and control the tugboat crew, assigning duties and ensuring adherence to operational protocols.
- Conduct pre-departure and post-arrival checks of the vessel, including engines, navigation equipment, and safety gear.
- Perform towing operations, including the safe connection and disconnection of tow lines.
- Monitor weather conditions and advise on potential risks to navigation and operations.
- Maintain detailed logs of all voyages, operations, and incidents.
- Ensure compliance with all maritime regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with port authorities, vessel captains, and other stakeholders for smooth operations.
- Respond to emergencies and implement appropriate procedures to mitigate risks.
- Train and mentor junior crew members on vessel operations and safety practices.
