Tug Master

Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Tug Master to join our dynamic team. The Tug Master will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of tugboats, ensuring the smooth movement of vessels within port limits and for towing operations. This role requires a deep understanding of maritime operations, navigation, and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate tugboats for vessel assistance, towing, and escort duties.
- Navigate tugboats safely in various port conditions, including confined spaces and busy waterways.
- Perform pre-departure and post-arrival checks on tugboats, including engines, navigation equipment, and safety gear.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant maritime regulations, port rules, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with vessel masters, pilots, and port authorities.
- Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on tugboat equipment.
- Respond to emergency situations and implement appropriate safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of operations, fuel consumption, and maintenance.
- Supervise and direct crew members during operations.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
