Job Description

Role Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tunnel Engineer to join our expanding operations in India. The Tunnel Engineer will be responsible for the planning, design, execution, and maintenance of underground infrastructure projects related to our food processing facilities. This role requires a deep understanding of geotechnical engineering, construction methodologies, and safety protocols within the context of industrial infrastructure development.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the design and construction of tunnels and underground structures for utility, transportation, and processing needs.
  2. Conduct site investigations, geological surveys, and feasibility studies for new tunnel projects.
  3. Develop detailed engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
  4. Manage and supervise construction activities, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  5. Implement and enforce stringent safety protocols and environmental regulations during all phases of construction.
  6. Utilize advanced tunneling technologies and equipment, including TBMs, NATM, and cut-and-cover methods.
  7. Monitor ground conditions, structural integrity, and ventilation systems.
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including civil engineers, geologists, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
  9. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during construction.
  10. Prepare progress reports and documentation.
