Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tunnel Engineer to join our dynamic infrastructure division. The Tunnel Engineer will be responsible for the planning, design, execution, and monitoring of tunnel construction projects, ensuring adherence to safety standards, quality benchmarks, and project timelines. This role requires a strong understanding of geotechnical engineering, tunneling methodologies, and project management principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and review tunnel designs, including alignment, cross-sections, and support systems.
- Conduct geotechnical investigations and analyze soil and rock conditions.
- Oversee the selection and implementation of appropriate tunneling methods (e.g., NATM, TBM).
- Manage and supervise on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety regulations.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, and documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and best practices.
