Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated Harbour Master with a strong academic background (Doctorate/PhD) and 1-2 years of relevant experience to join our dynamic team in Delhi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and environmentally sound management of port operations, ensuring compliance with all regulations and company policies. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, leadership, and strategic thinking.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of port operations, including vessel traffic management, cargo handling, and pilotage.
- Develop and implement port safety and security plans, conducting regular audits and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with national and international maritime regulations, including SOLAS, MARPOL, and ISPS Code.
- Manage pilotage operations, coordinating vessel movements to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Supervise and train port staff, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Develop and manage the port's operational budget and resources.
- Liaise with shipping companies, government agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth port operations.
- Respond to emergencies and incidents, developing and executing contingency plans.
- Utilize advanced analytical skills derived from a Doctorate/PhD to optimize port efficiency and resource allocation.
- Contribute to the strategic planning and development of port infrastructure and services.
