Role Summary: We are seeking a diligent and legally astute professional with 1-3 years of experience for a Mining - Other role within our agrochemical operations. The ideal candidate will possess an LLB degree and be responsible for ensuring compliance with mining and environmental regulations, managing legal aspects of land acquisition for mining projects, and providing legal counsel related to mining activities. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating legal risks associated with our mining and resource extraction processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret mining, environmental, and land acquisition laws and regulations applicable to the company's operations in India.
- Assist in the drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts and agreements related to mining leases, land acquisition, and environmental clearances.
- Provide legal support and guidance to the mining and operations teams on day-to-day legal matters and compliance issues.
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions on various mining-related issues, including regulatory compliance and dispute resolution.
- Liaise with government authorities, regulatory bodies, and external legal counsel on mining and environmental matters.
- Assist in managing litigation and arbitration proceedings related to mining operations, if any.
- Ensure adherence to all statutory compliances and reporting requirements for mining activities.
