About CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force)

The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) is the premier central paramilitary force of India. It was formed in 1939 as the Crown's Representative's Police. It was renamed as Central Reserve Police Force on 28th December 1949. The CRPF Act was enacted in 1949.
