User Research Manager role in Film / Music / Entertainment

Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly analytical and insightful User Research Manager with a Doctorate/PhD to join our dynamic team in Guwahati. This role is crucial for understanding user behaviors, needs, and motivations across our digital entertainment platforms (ZEE5). You will lead research initiatives, translate complex data into actionable insights, and champion user-centric design principles to enhance our product offerings and user experience. This position is ideal for a candidate with 2-4 years of relevant experience who possesses a strong academic background.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute comprehensive user research studies, including qualitative (interviews, usability testing, ethnography) and quantitative (surveys, analytics) methods.
- Analyze complex user data from various sources to identify key trends, pain points, and opportunities for product improvement.
- Translate research findings into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations for product, design, and engineering teams.
- Develop and maintain user personas, journey maps, and other artifacts to communicate user insights effectively.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Product Management, UX/UI Design, Marketing) to ensure user needs are integrated into the product development lifecycle.
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to the growth of the user research practice within the organization.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in user research methodologies and the digital entertainment industry.
- Advocate for the user and champion a user-centered culture throughout the company.
