Welding Inspector / Supervisor

Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welding Inspector / Supervisor to oversee and ensure the quality and integrity of all welding operations within our furniture manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising welding teams, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

* Supervise and guide a team of welders, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to production schedules.
* Conduct visual inspections of welds and welding procedures to identify defects and ensure compliance with quality standards (e.g., AWS, ASME, IS codes).
* Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) such as Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT), Dye Penetrant Testing (DPT), and Ultrasonic Testing (UT) as required.
* Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications.
* Ensure proper use of welding equipment and consumables.
* Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and corrective actions taken.
* Train and mentor junior welders on best practices and safety procedures.
* Collaborate with production engineers and quality control teams to resolve welding-related issues.
* Monitor and enforce safety regulations in the welding area.
* Prepare reports on welding quality and performance.
