Facility Manager

Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated Facility Manager with a Doctorate/PhD to oversee and manage all aspects of our facility operations in Thiruvananthapuram. This role requires a unique blend of advanced analytical skills, strategic thinking, and practical experience in managing complex infrastructure within the Defence & Aerospace sector. The ideal candidate will leverage their research background to optimize facility performance, ensure compliance, and drive innovation in operational efficiency for a period of 2-4 years post-doctorate.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for facility maintenance, space utilization, and infrastructure development, aligning with organizational goals and Defence & Aerospace industry standards.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the facility, including but not limited to HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, security, and waste management, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of facility performance data to identify areas for improvement, cost reduction, and energy efficiency, drawing upon research methodologies.
- Manage vendor contracts, service level agreements, and procurement processes for facility-related services and supplies, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Ensure strict adherence to all relevant safety regulations, environmental standards, and Defence & Aerospace industry compliance requirements.
- Lead and mentor a team of facility staff, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Plan and manage facility budgets, track expenses, and provide regular financial reports to senior management.
- Implement and manage preventive maintenance programs for all critical equipment and infrastructure.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders on facility-related projects, renovations, and emergency response plans.
- Utilize advanced problem-solving techniques and research skills to address complex facility challenges.
