Job Description

Role Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Head - Media Relations to manage and enhance IRCTC's public image and media presence. This role is crucial for building and maintaining strong relationships with media outlets, ensuring positive coverage, and effectively communicating company initiatives and achievements. The ideal candidate will have a knack for storytelling and a deep understanding of the Indian media landscape.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive media relations strategies to support IRCTC's objectives.
- Cultivate and maintain strong, positive relationships with journalists, editors, and media influencers across print, digital, and broadcast platforms.
- Proactively identify opportunities for positive media coverage and manage reactive media inquiries and crisis communications.
- Draft compelling press releases, media advisories, and other communication materials.
- Organize press conferences, media briefings, and other events.
- Monitor media coverage, analyze trends, and provide regular reports on media sentiment and impact.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with corporate communications goals.
- Stay updated on industry news, competitor activities, and emerging media trends relevant to the urban transport sector.
