Job Description

Role Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Legal Documentation / Research Assistant to join our legal team in Chennai. This role is ideal for an individual with a strong aptitude for legal research and documentation, looking to gain practical experience in the metals and mining sector. You will support the legal department in managing and organizing legal documents, conducting preliminary research, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This position does not require a post-graduate degree.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and organizing various legal documents, agreements, and contracts.
- Conduct legal research on specific statutes, regulations, and case laws relevant to the metals and mining industry.
- Maintain and update legal databases and document management systems.
- Support senior legal professionals in preparing legal opinions and reports.
- Ensure all legal documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with company policies and external regulations.
- Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders as required.
- Perform administrative tasks related to the legal department's operations.
