Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior 2nd Engineer to join our team in Guwahati. This role is ideal for a recent LLB graduate looking to apply their legal acumen in a practical engineering and project management environment within the public administration sector. The Junior 2nd Engineer will support senior engineers and project managers in ensuring compliance, managing documentation, and contributing to the successful execution of hydropower projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the review and interpretation of legal documents, contracts, and regulatory requirements related to hydropower projects.
  • Support the preparation and management of project documentation, including permits, licenses, and compliance reports.
  • Liaise with legal counsel, government agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure project adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Conduct preliminary research on legal aspects impacting project execution and operational efficiency.
  • Assist in dispute resolution processes and contract management.
  • Contribute to risk assessment and mitigation strategies from a legal and compliance perspective.
