Neonatologist

Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Neonatologist with a Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharma) degree to join our team in Hyderabad. This role involves providing specialized medical care to newborn infants, particularly those born prematurely or with serious health problems. While the primary focus is clinical, your M.Pharma background will be instrumental in understanding and advising on the pharmacological aspects of neonatal care, drug formulations, and safety profiles relevant to this vulnerable patient population within a corporate healthcare setting. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive medical care to critically ill newborns, including premature infants, low birth weight babies, and those with congenital anomalies.
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of neonatal conditions, including respiratory distress syndrome, infections, birth defects, and metabolic disorders.
- Perform and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood tests, imaging studies (X-rays, ultrasounds), and other relevant investigations.
- Administer and monitor medications, with a particular focus on understanding drug dosages, pharmacokinetics, and potential interactions relevant to neonates, drawing upon your M.Pharma knowledge.
- Collaborate with nursing staff, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide support and counseling to parents regarding their infant's condition, treatment, and prognosis.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in neonatology and pharmaceutical sciences relevant to neonatal care.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of hospital protocols and guidelines for neonatal care, particularly concerning pharmacotherapy.
- Participate in departmental meetings, case reviews, and continuing medical education programs.
