Tool Room Manager

Role Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and analytical Tool Room Manager with an MBA/PGDM to oversee and optimize our internal tool development and management processes. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our software development lifecycle by managing the tools and platforms used by our engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in a similar role, demonstrating a strong understanding of project management, process improvement, and stakeholder communication within the IT services sector.

Key Responsibilities:

*   Manage the lifecycle of internal development tools, including selection, procurement, implementation, and maintenance.
*   Collaborate with engineering leads and product managers to understand tool requirements and identify areas for improvement.
*   Develop and implement best practices for tool usage, standardization, and version control.
*   Monitor tool performance, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions to enhance efficiency.
*   Conduct market research for new tools and technologies that can benefit the development teams.
*   Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for tool licenses and support.
*   Develop and maintain documentation for tool configurations, usage guidelines, and training materials.
*   Track tool adoption rates and user feedback, implementing necessary changes to improve user experience.
*   Assist in budgeting and forecasting for tool-related expenses.
*   Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards related to software development tools.
