Cargo Agent / Cargo Officer

Role Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and organized Cargo Agent / Cargo Officer to join our team in Ludhiana. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods, managing inventory, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Arts degree and 5 years of experience in cargo handling, logistics, or a related field. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of cargo operations, from receiving and dispatching to documentation and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming cargo, ensuring accuracy against shipping documents.
- Prepare and process outgoing shipments, including proper packaging, labeling, and documentation.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external logistics providers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock checks.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations, customs procedures, and safety standards.
- Prepare and submit reports on cargo movement, inventory levels, and operational efficiency.
- Handle any discrepancies or damages to cargo and initiate appropriate resolution processes.
- Utilize cargo management software and other relevant systems for tracking and data entry.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding shipment status and potential issues.
