Purser / First Purser | M.Com Professionals | Hyderabad

Role Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Purser / First Purser with 3-4 years of experience and a Master of Commerce (M.Com) degree to join our finance and operations team in Hyderabad. The Purser will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial and administrative operations related to crew and vessel accounts, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations. This role requires strong accounting acumen, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all financial transactions related to purser's office, including payroll, expenses, and cash handling.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ledgers, and reports.
- Prepare and submit regular financial statements and reports to management.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, company policies, and accounting standards.
- Oversee inventory management of supplies and provisions, ensuring optimal stock levels and cost-effectiveness.
- Handle crew welfare matters, including managing crew accounts, remittances, and advances.
- Liaise with shore-based departments, port authorities, and external vendors to facilitate smooth operations.
- Conduct regular audits of financial records and operational procedures.
- Assist in budget preparation and monitoring, identifying areas for cost savings.
- Support the First Purser/Chief Purser in all administrative and financial duties as required.
