Job Description

Role Summary:
KPMG India is seeking a detail-oriented and legally astute Construction Manager to oversee and manage construction projects within our Noida office. This role requires a unique blend of project management expertise and a strong understanding of legal frameworks governing construction and real estate. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant regulations and contractual obligations. This position is ideal for a professional with 3-5 years of experience and an LLB degree, looking to leverage their legal acumen in a dynamic corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for construction projects.
- Conduct thorough legal reviews of all contracts, including vendor agreements, service contracts, and leases, ensuring compliance with Indian construction law and company policies.
- Oversee site operations, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental compliance.
- Manage relationships with contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders, negotiating terms and resolving disputes effectively.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and legal liabilities, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure all necessary permits, licenses, and approvals are obtained from relevant authorities in a timely manner.
- Prepare regular progress reports for senior management, highlighting project status, budget adherence, and any legal or contractual issues.
- Liaise with legal counsel on complex legal matters related to construction and real estate.
- Conduct due diligence on potential sites and vendors from a legal and compliance perspective.
- Manage change orders and claims, ensuring proper documentation and legal justification.
