Derrickman

Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Derrickman with 4-6 years of experience, holding a Master of Design (M.Des) degree, to join our dynamic team in Ludhiana. This role requires a unique blend of technical understanding of oil and gas operations and a strong design thinking approach to optimize processes, equipment, and safety protocols. The ideal candidate will leverage their design expertise to identify inefficiencies, propose creative solutions, and contribute to the overall operational excellence of our offshore drilling projects.

Key Responsibilities:

*   Assist the driller in operating the drilling machinery and equipment, ensuring adherence to safety standards and operational procedures.
*   Maintain and manage the derrick, including the pipe rack, monkey board, and substructure, ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
*   Perform routine inspections and maintenance on drilling equipment, identifying and reporting any defects or potential issues.
*   Operate and maintain the drawworks, rotary table, and other drilling machinery as directed by the driller.
*   Supervise the handling of drill pipes, casing, and other materials on the derrick floor.
*   Apply design thinking principles to analyze existing drilling processes and identify areas for improvement in efficiency, safety, and ergonomics.
*   Develop conceptual designs and prototypes for new tools, equipment modifications, or procedural changes to enhance drilling operations.
*   Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to translate design concepts into practical, implementable solutions.
*   Conduct ergonomic assessments of the derrick environment and propose design interventions to reduce operator fatigue and risk of injury.
*   Ensure all safety regulations and environmental policies are strictly followed, contributing to a zero-incident work environment.
*   Prepare detailed reports on equipment status, operational activities, and design recommendations.
