Role Summary:
We are seeking a creative and experienced Footwear Designer with 4-6 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree in Design (B.Des) to join our team in Chandigarh. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing innovative footwear collections that align with market trends and our brand identity. While our core business is in Ports & Shipping, this role is within a specialized division focused on creating functional and aesthetically pleasing safety footwear for our workforce and potentially for external clients in industrial sectors. You will translate design concepts into tangible products, working closely with product development and manufacturing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize and design innovative footwear, focusing on safety, comfort, and durability for industrial applications.
- Conduct market research and trend analysis to identify emerging styles, materials, and technologies in safety footwear.
- Develop detailed design sketches, 2D/3D renderings, and technical specifications for footwear.
- Collaborate with product development teams to ensure designs are feasible for manufacturing and meet performance requirements.
- Select appropriate materials, components, and construction methods for safety footwear.
- Create prototypes and review samples, providing feedback for design refinement.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant safety standards and regulations.
- Prepare presentation materials for design reviews and product development meetings.
- Work with marketing teams to ensure designs meet brand aesthetic and commercial objectives.
