Machine Shop Incharge / Supervisor (3-5 Yrs) | Hyderabad

Role Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Machine Shop Incharge / Supervisor with a unique background in LLB to oversee our machine shop operations. This role demands a blend of technical understanding of manufacturing processes and a strong grasp of legal compliance, safety regulations, and contractual obligations within a busy electrical equipment manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient production, maintain quality standards, and manage all aspects of shop floor operations while adhering to all relevant laws and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of the machine shop, ensuring smooth workflow and timely production of components for electrical equipment.
- Implement and enforce strict quality control measures to ensure all manufactured parts meet specifications and industry standards.
- Oversee the maintenance and operation of all machinery, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime. Schedule regular maintenance and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant Indian labor laws, safety regulations (e.g., OSHA equivalents, factory acts), and environmental standards within the machine shop.
- Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production schedules to guide shop floor activities.
- Manage inventory of raw materials, tools, and consumables, ensuring adequate stock levels and efficient usage.
- Train and mentor machine operators, providing guidance on best practices, safety procedures, and legal compliance.
- Investigate and resolve any production issues, accidents, or non-compliance incidents, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions.
- Liaise with legal and HR departments to ensure all shop floor activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and legal frameworks.
- Manage vendor relationships for tooling, spare parts, and consumables, ensuring favorable terms and timely delivery.
- Maintain accurate production records, performance metrics, and incident reports.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and safety within the machine shop.
