Optometrist

Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Optometrist with a Master of Design (M.Des) degree to join our innovative team in Surat. This role is crucial in enhancing the user experience and accessibility of our eye care services within the public health framework. You will leverage your design thinking and clinical expertise to improve patient pathways, develop user-centric tools, and contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our optometric services. This position is ideal for an individual with 2-4 years of experience looking to make a significant impact.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and diagnose a wide range of visual and ocular conditions.
- Prescribe and fit corrective lenses (spectacles and contact lenses) based on patient needs and prescriptions.
- Utilize design principles to analyze and improve the patient journey within our clinics, focusing on comfort, clarity, and efficiency.
- Develop and prototype user interfaces for diagnostic equipment and patient management software, ensuring ease of use and accessibility.
- Create educational materials and visual aids for patients regarding eye health, treatment options, and preventative care, employing design best practices.
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists, technicians, and public health officials to integrate design solutions into clinical workflows and outreach programs.
- Participate in research and development initiatives aimed at innovating eye care delivery models and assistive devices.
- Manage and maintain optometric equipment, ensuring accuracy and functionality.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in optometry, design, and public health initiatives.
