Seeking Chief Purchase Officer / Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) (3-4 Yrs) for a Sports Media Startup

Role Summary: We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Chief Purchase Officer / Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) with 3-4 years of experience to join our growing sports media startup. The ideal candidate will have a B.Des degree and a keen eye for design and quality, applied to procurement processes. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company's purchasing and procurement activities, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery of goods and services essential for our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategic sourcing and procurement policies and procedures.

Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, price, reliability, and design aesthetic.

Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors to achieve optimal cost savings and favorable payment terms.

Manage inventory levels and ensure adequate stock of necessary materials and equipment, considering design and usability.

Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., editorial, marketing, IT) to understand their procurement needs and provide solutions.

Monitor market trends and industry best practices in procurement and supply chain management.

Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.

Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.

Utilize design thinking principles to optimize procurement processes and outcomes.
