Accessory Designer

Role Summary: We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Accessory Designer with a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree to join our dynamic team in Nagpur. This role is crucial in conceptualizing, designing, and developing innovative and functional accessories for our railway rolling stock. You will be instrumental in enhancing the passenger experience and operational efficiency through thoughtful and aesthetically pleasing accessory solutions. This position is ideal for a candidate with 6 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Conceptualize and design a wide range of accessories for railway coaches and locomotives, including but not limited to seating enhancements, luggage solutions, interior fittings, and passenger comfort items.

Translate design concepts into detailed technical drawings, 3D models, and prototypes using industry-standard software.

Collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and marketing teams to ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective, and meet project requirements and timelines.

Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends, user needs, and opportunities for innovation in accessory design.

Select appropriate materials, finishes, and manufacturing processes, considering durability, safety, aesthetics, and sustainability.

Develop and present design proposals, mood boards, and mock-ups to stakeholders, effectively communicating design intent and rationale.

Ensure all designs comply with railway industry standards, safety regulations, and accessibility guidelines.

Oversee the prototyping and testing phases, making necessary design revisions based on feedback and performance evaluations.
