Catering Manager / Supervisor

Role Summary: We are seeking a motivated and organized Catering Manager/Supervisor with a Master of Science (M.Sc) degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience to oversee and manage our catering operations. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth functioning of our employee cafeteria and event catering services, maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage resources effectively in a dynamic startup environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Menu Planning and Development: Collaborate with chefs to design diverse and nutritious menus, considering dietary restrictions, seasonal availability, and cost-effectiveness. Ensure menus align with employee preferences and company standards.

Operations Management: Supervise daily catering operations, including food preparation, service, and clean-up. Manage staff schedules, delegate tasks, and ensure efficient workflow.

Inventory and Procurement: Monitor inventory levels of food supplies, beverages, and catering equipment. Place orders with vendors, negotiate prices, and ensure timely delivery of quality products.

Quality Control and Hygiene: Implement and enforce strict food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP, FSSAI guidelines). Conduct regular inspections of kitchen facilities, equipment, and food handling practices.

Budget Management: Assist in developing and managing the catering budget. Track expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure operations remain within budgetary limits.

Customer Service: Address customer feedback and resolve any issues promptly and professionally. Strive to enhance the overall dining experience for employees.

Event Coordination: Assist in planning and executing catering for internal company events, meetings, and special occasions.

Staff Training and Development: Train and mentor catering staff on best practices, service standards, and safety procedures.
