Recruiting for Harbour Master - Government / Public Administration Team

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Harbour Master with 3-5 years of experience to join our Government / Public Administration team in Pune. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall management and safe operation of the port's maritime activities, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards. This role requires a strong understanding of maritime law, port operations, and safety procedures, coupled with excellent leadership and decision-making skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all vessel traffic within the port limits, ensuring safe and efficient navigation.
- Develop and implement port operating procedures and contingency plans.
- Ensure compliance with national and international maritime regulations, safety standards, and environmental protection measures.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders including shipping agents, pilots, tug operators, and port authorities.
- Manage and supervise port staff, including pilots, berthing masters, and traffic controllers.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments of port facilities and operations.
- Investigate maritime incidents and accidents, and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain records and prepare reports on port activities, traffic, and safety performance.
- Contribute to the strategic planning and development of port infrastructure and services.
