Key Responsibilities:
- Operate tugboats in accordance with company policies and maritime regulations.
- Safely tow, push, and maneuver barges and other vessels as directed.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on the tugboat to ensure seaworthiness and operational readiness.
- Monitor vessel performance, fuel levels, and equipment status.
- Maintain accurate logs of operations, including course, speed, fuel consumption, and any incidents.
- Assist in docking and undocking operations.
- Ensure the security of cargo and vessels during transit.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and report any hazards or incidents immediately.
- Communicate effectively with vessel crews, port authorities, and other relevant personnel.
- Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of the tugboat as required.
- Support senior crew members in day-to-day operations.
