Job Description

About Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)

The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) is the largest central armed police organization in India. It operates under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) of the Government of India. The CRPF was established by an act of Parliament of India on 27th July 1939 as the Crown's Representative's Police. It was renamed the Central Reserve Police Force on 28th December 1949. The force has a rich history of contributing to internal security, counter-insurgency operations, and disaster management across India. It plays a crucial role in maintaining law and order, combating terrorism, and providing security during elections and other sensitive events.
