Engine Fitter / Welder (2-4 Yrs) - Chennai

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Engine Fitter / Welder with 2-4 years of experience to join our maintenance team in Chennai. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our retail infrastructure, including any specialized equipment or machinery used in our operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of fitting and welding techniques and be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of machinery and equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications for fitting and welding tasks.
• Execute welding operations using various techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick) to join metal parts according to standards.
• Fit and assemble metal components and structures accurately.
• Inspect and test welded surfaces and structures for defects.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company regulations and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
