We are seeking a diligent and proactive Ship Safety Officer with 3-4 years of experience to join our growing team in Bangalore. This role is crucial for ensuring the highest standards of safety and compliance on our maritime operations, even without a formal graduation degree. You will be instrumental in fostering a safety-first culture and mitigating risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of vessels, cargo handling areas, and associated equipment.
- Develop and implement safety procedures and protocols in line with national and international maritime regulations.
- Investigate all safety incidents, accidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant maritime safety legislation, including SOLAS and ISM Code.
- Organize and conduct safety training programs for crew and shore-based personnel.
- Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and documentation.
- Advise management on safety matters and promote a strong safety culture throughout the organization.
