We are seeking a dedicated Legal Associate with 2-4 years of experience in Legal Malpractice and Professional Responsibility to join our esteemed legal team in Kolkata. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and mitigating legal risks associated with professional conduct within the organization, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and ethical guidelines in the oil and gas sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Investigate and analyze allegations of legal malpractice and professional misconduct involving ONGC's legal personnel and external counsel.

Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with professional responsibility standards and ethical codes.

Provide legal advice and guidance on professional liability issues, risk management, and best practices.

Liaise with external counsel, regulatory bodies, and insurance providers on matters of professional indemnity and malpractice claims.

Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and case precedents concerning legal malpractice and professional ethics.

Assist in the defense of malpractice claims and contribute to settlement negotiations.

Prepare reports and presentations on professional responsibility matters for senior management.
