Underwriter - Design (2-3 Yrs Exp)

Role Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Underwriter with a Master's degree in Design (M.Des) and 2-3 years of experience. The role involves assessing design risks, evaluating project viability, and ensuring adherence to internal and external design standards for various corporate initiatives. You will play a crucial role in safeguarding the company's interests by making informed decisions on design-related proposals and investments. This position is based in our Surat office.

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate design proposals, concepts, and specifications to identify potential risks and opportunities.

Conduct thorough research on market trends, competitor designs, and technological advancements relevant to new projects.

Assess the feasibility and financial viability of design projects, considering material costs, production processes, and aesthetic appeal.

Develop and maintain underwriting guidelines and standards specific to design and product development.

Collaborate with design teams, product managers, and finance departments to gather necessary information and provide expert insights.

Prepare detailed underwriting reports and present findings and recommendations to senior management.

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, intellectual property laws, and company policies.

Monitor the performance of approved design projects and identify any emerging risks.
