Director - Program Management

Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly accomplished and strategic Director - Program Management to lead and oversee large-scale, complex engineering and construction programs within our India operations. This pivotal role requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of program lifecycle management, risk mitigation, stakeholder engagement, and a proven track record of delivering multi-billion dollar projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will leverage their extensive experience and doctoral-level expertise to drive innovation, optimize resource allocation, and ensure the successful execution of critical national infrastructure and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive program management strategies aligned with L&T's business objectives and market demands.
- Lead, mentor, and manage cross-functional program teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of multiple concurrent mega-projects, from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Establish and maintain robust program governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with all regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate program risks, developing contingency plans to address potential challenges.
- Manage key stakeholder relationships, including clients, government agencies, partners, and internal leadership, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
- Drive innovation in project delivery methodologies, technology adoption, and sustainable construction practices.
- Optimize program budgets, resource allocation, and procurement strategies to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct rigorous performance analysis and reporting, providing strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Champion a safety-first culture across all project sites, ensuring the well-being of all personnel.
