Mechanical Engineer (Refining)

Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Engineer with a specialization in Refining processes to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will possess a Master of Technology (M.Tech) degree and have 5-5 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas or petrochemical refining sector. This role involves contributing to the design, optimization, and operational efficiency of refining units, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. You will work on complex engineering challenges, leveraging your technical expertise to drive innovation and improve plant performance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed mechanical design and analysis of refining equipment, including reactors, heat exchangers, distillation columns, and pumps.
- Perform process simulations and thermodynamic calculations to optimize unit operations and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and review technical specifications, P&IDs, and engineering drawings.
- Participate in HAZOP studies and risk assessments to ensure process safety.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions to enhance plant reliability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including process engineers, instrumentation engineers, and operations personnel.
- Stay abreast of the latest technological advancements and industry best practices in refining.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for management and stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
