Role Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mining Geologist with a unique background in law (LLB) to join our dynamic team in Delhi. This role is crucial for supporting our railway infrastructure projects by ensuring compliance with mining regulations, environmental laws, and contractual obligations related to resource extraction and land acquisition. You will leverage your geological expertise and legal acumen to navigate complex regulatory landscapes and contribute to the successful execution of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct geological surveys and site investigations to assess mineral deposits and geological formations relevant to railway construction projects.
- Interpret geological data, prepare reports, and provide recommendations for resource extraction and site suitability.
- Review and interpret mining leases, permits, and environmental impact assessments.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant Indian mining laws, environmental regulations, and land acquisition acts.
- Assist in drafting and reviewing contracts and agreements related to mining operations and land use.
- Liaise with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and legal counsel on mining and environmental matters.
- Identify and mitigate geological risks and legal challenges associated with mining and construction activities.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and legal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Monitor and report on the legal and regulatory compliance of mining-related activities.
- Stay updated on changes in mining legislation and environmental policies in India.
